Adrian Orange - Bitches Is Lord (2006 Marriage Records MAR022) the first (solo?) album from Portland, OR musician Adrian Orange, probably better known by the moniker Thanksgiving. Found this CD in a clearance bin at a bookstore and I fell in love with it, listened to it practically every day the month I bought it. Little did I know at the time that Adrian Orange is some sort of cult icon, having been cited as a major influence by The Dirty Projectors and Noah And The Whale with Phil Elverum of The Microphones and Mount Eerie describing them as \"an actual real-life lounging grass-grove poet who went on to write the best songs in human history.\" He's not fucking wrong. This is an incredible album. Also that's a great fucking title, come on.
