The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony - Full double vinyl album [HQ Audio] 1979

The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony was a double vinyl album released in 1979 It came with 48 page hardback book which was conceived, written and fantastically illustrated by Patrick Woodroffe, the music was written and performed by Dave Greenslade with help from Phil Collins on drums on some of the tracks.

The story and artwork within 'Pentateuch' is about the discovery of an abandoned spacecraft in orbit around Jupiter. The book chronicles the project to decipher the ideograms in the Pentateuch 'document' discovered within. The book is a retelling of this document, in a similar way that modern day translator might retell the contents of an ancient scroll. One of the amazing things is that ideographic script was created by Woodroffe and used throughout the artwork a bit like Tolkien created the languages for middle earth.

Many put this in the prog rock category because of its story telling through the book though there are no lyrics, I would say it is a great piece of electronica with a prog style book.
