[New Jack Swing/Funk/Soul/RnB/R&B] Here is the legendary music producer Phalon Alexander with his first and only album titled: \"Rising To The Top\". An obscure New Jack Swing record yet has gained popularity over the years due to Phalon 's impressive music industry background. Today, he is professionally known as Jazze Pha and he is an American record producer, singer, songwriter and rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the founder and chief executive officer of Sho'nuff Records, which early 2000's R&B singer/songwriter Ciara was signed to at one time. He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. His father James Alexander, was the bassist for the Bar-Kays, an influential group on the Memphis soul scene in the 1960s. He was named after the late Phalon Jones, another member of the Bar-Kays, who died in the December 10, 1967 plane crash that also killed three other Bar-Kays members and Otis Redding. During his teen years he had the privilege to tour the world with his father and The Bar-Kays. This proved worthy as it scored him a record deal with Elektra Records and thus this album was born. I'm not too sure how well the album did but i know its been praised by hard core New Jack Swing fans and fans that look up some history regarding Jazze Pha. After this album he went on to produce songs for many notable R&B singers and rappers such as T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, Usher, as well as Young Jeezy, and Ciara who were all signed to his label, Sho'nuff Records, during their breaking points. He is also known for announcing \"Ladies and gentlemen\" or \"This is a Jazze Phizzle production!\", both at the beginning and, occasionally, at the end of songs on which he is featured. More recently, he is working on a group called Thee Unknowns and in 2016 he has oddly filed for bankruptcy ...Wishing all the best. This album was released under Elektra Records '90.
