A song written for Paramount’s “Anything Goes,” a 1936 film adaptation of the 1934 Cole Porter musical (and which retained few of Porter’s original stage tunes). This movie starred Bing Crosby and Ethel Merman; and yet one more “Anything Goes” film would be added to Bing’s resume in 1956.
