Sound Sapiens was created by Davidson Lopes and Bruno dos Santos when they were workmates at a government educational institution in Brazil in 2011. At that time both were unhappy with the routine of working in a political environment and felt the need to do something other than just paying bills.
The first sounds came naturally from sample collages of various musical styles and virtual synthesizers in an attempt to represent that stressful work environment and the wild environment of cities.
The sound atmosphere of Sound Sapiens travels through the sensitive interconnectivity of nature present within each human being to the technological and concrete insensitivity of cities. By listening to the sounds of the Sound Sapiens you will notice a large range of textures and tones that form strong sounds that lead the listener into a movie.
The release of the album in 2015 also happened with a show of debut next to the bands Zeroum and Anvil Fx, masters of the Brazilian electronic music.
The illustration of the front cover of the album titled Interconnected Monkeys, represents the atmosphere very well and was developed by the Brazilian artist Lucio Rodrigues and is an invitation to enter into the world of Sound Sapiens.
