Omar Moore, also known as I-Kushna, was born in Spanish Town, satellite town of Kingston, capital

of Jamaica and is the third of five children.

The music came early in his life with his father and also involved his biggest influence was the best

friend of his father, Christopher Campbell, world-renowned singer also known as Norris Man.

I-Kushna, which means \"I'm Black\" (in reference to the first black African warrior), began his career

singing in a Kingston sound system called \"Rambo Mango\".

With this experience he was able to develop his compositions and strong lyrics, lyrical skills as well

as their confidence, which would contribute to the success of his career. The lyrics of I-Kushna are

powerful, touching and politically charged. His strong, clear voice has a special power that sets it

apart from many other artists in the world of Reggae music. Your goal is to bring music to the

highest level, along with his beloved land Jamaica, where his first album is highly anticipated.

Through his powerful lyrics, I-Kushna purports to bring the audience a critical analysis about

worldwide events.

After releasing a couple of singles I-Kushna decided to focus on his main goal, and since 2011 has

been working in his first album with Brazilian producer Jeff Boto and his label Dubatak Records.

The debut album is aligned with the latest musical trends such as \"Reggae Revival\" emerged in

Jamaica in recent years, and now spreaded around the world with its conscious and organic music,

represented by artists such as Protoje, Chronixx, Kabaka Jesse Royal, Jah 9, among others.

The album travels through various styles from Roots to Dancehall, without clinging to labels.

IRIE FEELING - Music vibe

In 2011, Jeff Boto went to Jamaica and met there I-Kushna. He was impressed with his talent.

After a recording session, the identification was immediate and the two met again a few times

during the producer's stay on the island, achieving to record two new tracks.

In May 2011, invited by Dubatak Records, I-Kushna came for the first time to Brazil for two shows in

Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and they start the productions for I-Kushna’s first album.

After a quiet period, in early 2015 the producer reach again Jamaica and record the album with I-Kushna , also

helding a record session with the Jamaican drummer Kush McAnuff, one of the most respected of

the new generation, at legendary TUFF GONG Studio, where so many classics were recorded.

Back in Brazil, all instruments are remade and after a year of recording, editing, mixing and

mastering the album release is scheduled on March 10, 2016.

IRIE FEELING, features on Backing Vocals Brazilian singer Laylah Arruda, complementing

I-Kushna’s melodies and being highlighted purposeful throughout the whole tracks.
