Reg Dwight (Elton John) was guest paino player on this British Top 40 single of 1968. The Barron Knights were a comedy pop group that did parodies of current popular artists. In this song they spoofed Des O'Connor, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Tom Jones, Mamma Cass and John Baldry - among others! It was done at the time of the 1968 Olympics in Mexico. Elton John was a session piano player for several artists in the sixties, including The Hollies, Tom Jones, Simon Dupree & The Big Sound, The Scaffold - and The Barron Knights! Elton has told the story that it was during this recording session with The Barron Knights in 1968 at Abbey Road Studios that he first met Paul McCartney - and was completely star struck!

About the recording you hear - Yes, obviously it's from the original vinyl, converted into an mp3 file. The original record was a two-sided single - Parts 1 & 2, in other words. I have simply spliced them together in this recording, so you hear side one followed by side two - immediately! Enjoy....
