Twenty Four is a beat tape containing 24 tracks based on the 24 hours in a day. It’s a reflection on the unique moments and hours of each day. Twenty Four started as a way of collecting together beats I’d been making over the last couple of years, but it developed into something much more. I spent the year trying to be intentionally aware of the unique attributes of certain times of day: the way the light changes, the mood and atmosphere of the night in contrast to the day. I began to learn how to see and hear God in these moments. I started to see the theme running through scripture: in particular Psalm 19 and Ecclesiastes. That every day God paints his masterpiece in the sky, his handiwork that speaks out to all the earth if we’re willing to listen.
