Eddie Peabody is one of the all time great banjo players who also exhibited a great comic flair while performing. His professional career started in the 1920's and lasted until his death in 1970. Besides appearing on stage, radio and later TV, Eddie Peabody also appeared in a handful of movies including 3 short ones produced by for movie jukeboxes of the 1940's by the Soundies Distributing Corporation of America. One of these Soundies was called \"Banjomania\" which I have posted here from my 16mm print. Peabody performs \"Oh Susanna\" and \"Saint Louis Blues\" - great choices for the banjo.
