Dan Peyton and Marty Kaniger released about half a dozen records on Colgems and Bell, including the theme from the 1970 film, “Getting Straight”, which starred Elliot Gould and Candice Bergen.
A number of their recordings were arranged and produced by David Gates, who had an extensive career in the music industry throughout the 60s, as has been well documented on You Tube and elsewhere. In June 1970, his group, Bread, entered the Hot-100 with “Make It With You”, a #1 hit for them.
