American Football’s influential debut album (lovingly known as LP1) will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its unassuming release on September 14, 2019. The band’s eponymous first full-length showcases cleanly picked guitars, intricate drumming, and the vocals of Mike Kinsella (Owen, Joan of Arc, Cap'n Jazz). The band, made up of Kinsella, Steve Holmes, and Steve Lamos recorded at Private Studios in Champaign-Urbana with Brendan Gamble.
