If The Hellacopters were as big as they deserved to be, bands like Italy's OJM would be gaining ground as well.

It's not to say that OJM's second album, \"The Light Album\", is a derivative piece of hackwork designed solely to ride the coattails of a more talented and deserving band. It's just that the group is a solid garage rock band that, sonically, shares quite a bit with The Hellacopters.

What gives OJM their own identity is the use of 60's psychedelic pop songwriting, along with a couple of quick sojourns into Lynyrd Skynyrd territory.

So tracks like \"I'm Damn\" are countered with tracks like \"Talkin About Revolution\" or merged perfectly, like on the slow grooving bluesy stomp of \"Desert\". So if you want some pop with your sloppy rock and have a hankering for some tasty harmonica, pick up \"The Light Album\".

THEY ALREADY HAVE PLAYED WITH: DKT/MC5, Motorpsycho, Brant Bjork & The Bros, The Lords Of Altamont, Gorilla, Hardcore Superstar, Nebula, Josiah, Fleshtones, Josiah and others.
