“[..]with the release of Can't Get Through, Hairy Chapter finally recorded a righteous royal shit-stirrer which should be in the collection of every 21st Century Head. For Can't Get Through was a blood-lusty and maniacally lunar combination of the first Funkadelic LP, Alice Cooper's Love It To Death, Led Zeppelin 2 and Amon Duul 2's Yeti.”

Hairy Chapter was found in 1969 by Harry Unte (Vocals), Harry Titlbach (Guitar), Rudolf Oldenburg (Bass) und Rudi Haubold (Drums). The band exsisted for only two years and released two albums. Can´t Get Through was their second album which they recorded with engineer & producer Dieter Dierks. Dierks introduced strong Psychedelic Rock elements into the obvious straight Blues Rock sound of Hairy Chapter. He created a record, which combines Blues Rock with strong Elements of Hard- and Krautrock. Though for most critics the band never was considered to be real Krautrock.
