in 2020, chicagoland area rapper 7TEEN came out with his debut mixtape, 2004, showing others who had only heard his previous work that he had more to show and he really did. he not only gave us a a long winded project that feels comfortable to listen to, but the songs such as the opener and blanco (freestyle) earned him a positive score on the first go. 7teen showed he could do it once, but with the last song of his mixtape on 2004, it led to the question, could he do it twice? YES. he can. and he shows it here on 7TEEN VS the WRLD. We start off with El Chapo, the opener, which gives us a nice intro on how this album is going to be filled with some of the best production we have heard.

important to mention that once again, JS Studio's produced this, which has again and again shown it's amazing talent to take up and coming artists and give them the exact right type of production to make them sound amazing, while still showing their amazing talent. Jamie Sumner has once again made an amazing album with 7TEEN, who shows us what he can do with such amazing production.

the second single released off the album was Handsome Devil, which give us a steady and good flow and the does the production justice. While not my favourite off the album, the next song Been The Shit, really got me into this album. 7TEEN does his amazing flow and spits some bars for about 2 minutes, until... $HELUVTONY comes in with bars which stops you in your tracks and gets you up and dancing. i was studying to this and just got up and busted a move. Great track and was worthy of a single release back in January.

we move onto the 4th track, Still Applies, a short track, hits hard with bars talking of friends and basically feels like a \"fuck you\" on the first listen, and i love this. it embodies how little 7TEEN care about stuff like that.

ski mask is the best track. no doubt. we start with the best production on the entire album, with harps accompanying trap beats perfectly. we start with a immediate intro with 7TEEN getting straight point, this only goes for a certain amount of time, when External, another up and coming rapper with an EP due soon, jumps on the track gloriously on top of the already amazing track. We get a clean and smooth verse, proving how amazing all the features on here are. from $HELUVTONY to Morgan Gold, the album takes advantage in all the right ways. oh, did I mention, Morgan Gold, one of the best singers in Chicago takes a verse on ski mask. unlike her other work, we hear a effect-less Morgan, showing her crisp and amazing voice. giving us a more personal performance. it truly all comes together on this track, and is indeed the best track on this album.

we are not done here.

there is some cool down with the song Bag!, which feels like Handsome Devil 2, and there is not much to say about it. L.S.M is the closer. we get a chill beat that is crooned on by 7TEEN as the album closes to a great finish.

in conclusion, 7TEEN showed that he can do it twice, and has already announced a deluxe, that will feature more tracks. But even after that releases, we get another question, what's next?
