Henry Hearty - Shananika Da

Playing Next: Agent of Liberty
Random Page  /  Random Song

Henry Hearty seems to have been popular round about 1926 to 1932. His photograph appears on a number copies of sheet music and he released a small number of records on Regal, Zonophone and Imperial. He appeared on the same bill as George Robey in Southampton in June 1930. The Wireless and Gramophone Trader stated on 30th August 1930 that his new releases under the name of Uncle Henry, \"Both are fair, though the humour is moderately crude. Nevertheless, the disc will appeal to a certain class of buyer.\" If you listen to the words and his delivery on this recording, Henry Hearty can be heard in the likes of Frankie Howerd and Larry Grayson.
