If Alfred Hitchcock made a suspense film set on a futuristic planet, this would be the score to accompany it. As the title of the album suggests, the music on this recording is meant to evoke visions of space and the boundless worlds that exist just beyond our reach. Many attempts at this type of sound have failed; it is easy to go overboard with gimmicky swooshing and beepity bloop effects. This is not that kind of album, as a full orchestra is put to (serious) work which both inspires and haunts. A great balance between acoustic and electronic is struck, with heavy uses of woodwinds, brass, and theramins. Close your eyes when you listen to this one.
