BASEMENTALS 2: God's Basement (Dedicated To Sy Berman)

Why do people put stuff in their basement? Because they don't use that stuff anymore and they don't give a crap about it. We are the people who have felt discarded and left in the cold lonely dark, with only our insanity for company. As if God didn't care about us anymore. Now that we have come out of God's basement, we have produced this. The damaged minds of geniuses left to their own devices have produced....

We developed the first BASEMENTALS last winter using audio from our meetings \"The CVL Interviews\". This was originally merely an editing exercise to learn from. But it grew to mean more to me. So much that I decided we should work on a sequel. Now, with 6 interviews and a few assorted jam sessions, we have created BASEMENTALS 2: God's Basement. Dedicated to Sy Berman (look him up), this album incorporates tracks from every interview and jam session that we have. Music can come from anywhere at any time to anyone. BASEMENTALS shows who we are when we are together. It shows our friendship. Our family. No one is excluded who tries to be a part of it. CVL4LIFE

We used more conventional instruments on this album. While plenty of editing has been done, the only instruments used were a drum set, a guitar, a piano, a harmonica, and a bit of table drumming (using hands to drum on a hard surface) There were a few samples used, most of them Ween and Tom Waits songs. Much more tame than the original BASEMENTALS where we used sticks and shovels on concrete. But never forgetting who we are.

If you read all this and listened to the album, thank you so much
