Our debut album “The Harvest” was recorded and mixed from May to August 2018 at the Moxa rehearsal-space in Leipzig, Germany. Mastering was done in November 2018 by our fellow friend Falk Andreas (AKA FLK) in Berlin.
Moxa are:
Daniel Wojahn - Drums, Sampling, Synths
Giuseppe Tateo - Bass
Patrick Thiele - Guitars, Voice on Yog Sothoth
info:
After Franziska Schönfeldt and Simon Andersch left Moxa in 2017 we found a new bass player in Giuseppe Tateo and decided to go on as a three-piece band. Relocating our influences into darker and rougher directions we wrote six songs in just a few months and adding two older pieces (Oppenheimer and Caravan) to the set, now in their final form. The topics of this record among others are spinning around life, death, the cyclopean fear of the unknown, the threat of mass-extinction and the current development of mankind into fatal directions.
Impact on our creativity had the sacred text of the Bhagavad Gita (here recited partly by Robert Oppenheimer in connection of describing the aftermath of the Trinity test), the philosophical readings by Jiddu Krishnamurti (“Caravan”), The War Of The Worlds by H.G. Wells (“The Harvest”) as well as the works of H.P. Lovecraft (words of an incantation to resurrect the dead on “Yog Sothoth”).
