First and foremost, the beautiful artwork was drawn by mu_acrt! Shee has allowed me to use the artwork to accompany the music, and she has many more great pieces on his pixiv gallery!
So I started this remix about a week ago and I didn't really know what to do with it. At first, it was never actually a remix of anything, but just a sketch using new samples that I had bought. After going through some music, I finally decided on turning this into a remix of Abandoned Ship from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, and for this remix, I really wanted to try something dark/mysterious and makes good use of sound design. So... this is what came out of that idea, haha.
Also, this is a pretty startling change in sonority around the halfway point. It happens after a DbM7 chord chord, which resolves to f#m9. That was intentional and added to the unsettling atmosphere that I wanted. But it was quite a big change, so it may rub some the wrong way, haha.
By the way, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am open for commission. I’m going to use this as a way to fund my channel, and acquire more, better equipment. E-mail me for more information!
