The day of this upload, 20th March 2019, is Dame Vera Lynn's 102nd birthday, and I wish her a day of much joy and happiness. The phrase \"national treasure\" describes this remarkable lady perfectly.

This recording is of a sentimental popular song of 1936. Dame Vera was a singer with Charlie Kunz's Casani Club Orchestra at the time, but had already made sufficient impact to have been offered the chance to make records under her own name. These were issued on the 9\" Crown label, and this recording is a vinyl pressing taken from a master back sometime in the 1960s or 1970s.
