Christmasasaurus: Volume 3 presented and organized by: Peppermint Pony, Bubblegum Octopus, and guest host A Beautiful Lotus

Christmasasaurus started in late 2005 as an [poorly planned] idea discussed between me, m@ the c@ (Bubblegum Octopus) and Dingle (Peppermint Pony) to bring together obscure, experimental electronic artists for the purpose of spreading the now politically incorrect Christmas cheer in an unprecedented way.

The first installment kind of went off with a fizzle due to poor planning and difficulty really taking charge of it... but we were determined to improve upon it every year... I'm not even sure if that is being hosted anywhere these days.

Volume 2 was much better orchestrated and was released on Candy Mind Records as a free release (http://www.archive.org/details/CANDY032).... I highly recommend you all download that too.

2007 went by without so much as a whiff of the idea of releasing another installment and some assumed all was lost for a Volume 3.

With this in mind, Phil of A Beautiful Lotus decided to compile a Christmas CD in the same spirit for the artists on his net label Robo! Robotica! for a modicum of the same sensation of hearing some of the finest in underground chiptune, digigrind, breakcore, and many other forms of electronic/experimental music doing unconventional variations on classic christmas songs (and a few originals).

Dingle and I realized separately that one year was to long to go without and we quickly conspired to put together another installment in the series (hopefully making it an annual event permanently) and asked Phil right away if he was interested.

Being that he was already in the midst of putting together his own, we decided to condense the two compilations into Christmasasaurus Volume 3.

As usual, we'll make mention that not all of the songs were written by the artists who have performed and recorded the versions you hear... but we're not making a penny off of this so it shouldn't be a problem anyway, right?
