Beto Villa often called the Father of Tex-Mex music rode the success of the partnership with Ideal records from the 40's into his widening use of all form of Latin music in his repertoire. In the 50's the mambo and proto salsa sounding music hit America by storm. This song is Written by Cuban born Composer Perez Prado the composer of mambo number five and other hits like \"Que Rico el Mambo\".
I have to hand it to the recording engineers at Ideal, they knew how to wax a record it's a shame they don't get much play these days.
