We live in a world of radical individualism.
People come in and out of our lives daily and we often miss the gift of difference they bring to us. Often our prejudices get in the way to see this and not just prejudices of color, religion, or status, but prejudices of difference as a whole.
Once we learn the prejudices that are hidden within us, we can take the proper steps of reconciliation. Normal is what we know and our uncomfortably is a power that holds us back from expanding beyond ourselves to see others as human and family. The addiction of the self keeps us from seeing the person right in front of us and beyond.
We must learn to see the world as a colorful place where all people can stand together in love and peace. We must learn to lament and allow our hearts to break for the tragedies happening all around us. This is being human and we can only be human together.
