“The Seraphims began singing quite spontaneously one afternoon in the spring of 1968; and, after realizing immediately that the Lord had brought them together, began performing as a school trio (the girls attend Azusa Pacific College in Azusa, California) the very next week. Before long they were going out for services nearly every weekend and, shortly after the close of the school year, went on a week’s singing tour at various points between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Back at school this year, they continue to serve the Lord, performing in churches and at young gatherings throughout the area.
Eleven of the songs on this album were written by the youngest member of the group, Diane Rice. The other song, “Where’s my heart” is Sharon Gordon’s who also accompanies their numbers on the guitar. The music is largely folk-gospel type, a medium appealing to the younger generation of today.
The Seraphims have a goal in making this recording, a goal embodied in the words of Paul:
‘May you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high His love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves (though it is so great that you will never see the end of it)., or fully know or understand it). And so at last you will be filled up with God Himself. Now glory be to God who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes’. Ephesians 3: 18-20, Living Letters“.
