Each of these pieces is a vignette in the sense it is a depiction of an artefact, an imagined and realised artefact which is formed through spontaneous collaborative improvisation in craft.
The materials of these artefacts are generated within circuitry and shaped with the hand. As a vase is baked in a kiln to finalise it’s form, so these artefacts are left in-state for an extended period following the initial stages of fabrication in order to solidify and confirm their form.
When the form is confirmed it is then taken and placed in a virtual environment. The final collection of pieces itself serves as an imaginary museum in which the pieces are displayed together, but with each piece existing independently within it’s own individual virtual environment.
