Ellis & Lynch - Life Is You (1976), Private press. Another collection of stirring songs, the highlight being the lovely mysterious folk/psych ballad ‘Hymn To The Father’. Several examples of their trademark delicate blend of acoustic guitar, piano, flute and soft harmonies, including the title track, ‘Praise Song’, ‘Choices’, ‘Father Of Peace’ and ‘The Light Has Come’, crossing over into folk-rock for ‘Listen To The Word’. Arp string ensemble is introduced on a few of these. Light island flavor on the conga-backed ‘Come Lord Jesus’. Banjo and soprano recorder make an appearance on the closing ‘May The Roads Rise Up’.
