Jamuary 24th 2021 - Volca Keys, Modular, Sample, Nts1 - Brass Monkeys

Today's jam started out as an experiment to see what the Volca Modular would sound like through the Korg NTS-1. I was planning something simple, but as soon as I created this sort of brass ensemble sound I knew I had to add some more layers.

The NTS-1 is providing reverb for the Modular as well as running an sus chord arp. I found controlling the volume using the envelope worked quite well, otherwise there is no way to balance the input with the output with restarting the NTS-1 and going into the global settings.

The Volca Sample is once again full of nice punchy Korg X5 drum machine samples, because they were in there from last time and I'm being lazy. The Volca Keys provides another brassy sound acting as a harmony part with the Modular. It's all a bit vaguely cinematic again. Nice wonky ending btw. Quick tip, don't stop a sequence in the middle of a pitch envelope, unless that how you like it...
