BRITISH DANCE BANDS play MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES --
GOLD DIGGERS OF 1933

Maurice Winnick and his Orchestra at Ciro's Club, London play a selection from the film \"Gold Diggers of 1933\"

• Part 1: I've Got To Sing A Torch Song; We're In The Money -- Vocal chorus by Brian Lawrance

• Part 2: Pettin' In The Park -- Vocal chorus by Brian Lawrance; Shadow Waltz; Remember My Forgotten Man

Recorded in London on Tuesday 22nd September 1933
Originally recorded for the Edison Bell Winner label in 1933, this 10\" 78rpm disc has been remastered by this user.

Before Maurice Winnick adopted his \"Sweetest Music This Side Of Heaven\" style, he had a more conventional dance band. When this selection was made, Maurice had just taken his orchestra into Ciro's Club in London with musicians including Stanley Black on piano, Albert Harris on guitar, future bandleader Sid Millward in the sax section and the legendary Freddy Gardner on clarinet, alto and baritone sax.
