I am 6 years late to posting my cover of Attack on Titan's OP, I know, but I swear in that time I've redone my arrangement to be a bit better.. Honestly I'm just shocked I could cover it at all, let alone feel confident enough to work in the vocals! I adored this OP when it came out like so many, and while I've been slowly getting around to rewatch the show I felt like it's still worth covering. Using slide guitar and some extra crinkly cleans helped diversify the verse sections, while I filled the chorus with a more \"melodic\" riff to keep things fresh there. The vocals are a bit simplistic but stacked all over, hoping to get that big wall of sound I hear in my peers' vocal covers!
While I'm not the biggest fan of covering anime openings per se, you all know I try to go a bit hard with them (see my Cruel Angel's Thesis project). The recreation of the AOT Title Opening was probably the most fun I had with this cover visually, though I have to shout out to the amazing Aputure B7c bulbs I got to create that pulsing back-and-forth look. The end result videography-wise is a super fiery look I don't think I could easily get alone without em! Stay tuned for a Foo Fighters cover (?) and of course amazing things on my socials regarding vgmtogether, an online convention for VGM and gamers alike.
