I, like many westerners, missed out on the Dragon Quest series for whatever reason. It was so interesting seeing the contrast in the hype from Japan when Dragon Quest was announced for Smash as opposed to how it was received here. Lucky for me, I had just dumped like 30 hours into Dragon Quest Builders right before the announcement, so I at least could be excited for the amazing music it has!

There wasn't a single track I heard in the game that I didn't love. After having done a shaving of this theme in my 50 Video Game Songs in 2 Minutes video, I always did want to hit it again since it's such a catchy melody. Problem was it was so short. When doing research into different versions, I found the first version I heard on YouTube but couldn't find out which game it was from. I really liked how it developed in the beginning and I really wanted to incorperate those lines in my version.

I was also inspired by another video of a girl absolutely shredding this theme on YouTube where she kicked the tempo up a lot, so I really wanted to take that, go super power metal with it and add the part I mentioned before. Hope you enjoy!

I was originally planning to film this outside but it's been way to hot to do a video shoot. I also seemed to have made my shutter speed a little too high for this from the look of the scan line looking things. I'll fix that for next time! Thanks for watching!
