This massive list of Christmas hits includes Dean Martin Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow, One of my all time Christmas greats, this song has been on many an artist's Christmas songs playlist since it was first recorded in 1945 by Vaughn Monroe. This is one of the best-selling Christmas songs of all time.
The Ronettes, Winter Wonderland, I always remember my parents playing this over the festive period. According to Wikipedia, Dick Smith, a native of Honesdale in Pennsylvania was reportedly inspired to write the song after seeing Honesdale's Central Park covered in snow. This was first recorded in 1934 and has been performed by over over150 artists since then.
John and Yoko, Happy Xmas War is Over. A fitting tribute to a superb musician. Released in 1971 as a simple and then to protest against the Vietnam War. This song was re-released in the UK on 20 December 1980, shortly after John was murdered on December 8th.
