A new guitar appears! It's all thanks to everyone who bought my EP last month! I've been eyeing this guitar for a long time and the unbelieveable sales of Sno-stalgia made it possible for me to finally pick it up, and it's AWESOME! The fretboard is the smoothest I've ever had and the color is mind blowing! I do wish it was a bit longer, kinda looks like I'm playing a kid's guitar looking back at this video, but damn does it punch in the low end with clarity! I've had it since last week but I was still working on tones so I couldn't include it in the VVVVVV medley. I will be intermittedly changing between this guitar and my Explorer for rhythm sections just like I do for leads with my Explorer and Schecter depending on the tone I need!

This cover was really good at testing the limits of the PRS' low end. I really wanted to get clarity out of the low strings in chords in drop A tuning so there are some Major 6 chords, inverted chords, 9 chords, everything to try to muddy it up to see how much is too much and I've been impressed when the gain is set relatively low. You'll notice that the tone isn't much different from my Explorer but that was because I used exactly the same set-up with some more EQing and less drive. I figured best to start with something I know than jump head first into a new tone. Sonic covers are super fun so I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy playing them! :)

Next week is a classic SNES song. Something written by a dream team of composers! See ya next week! Oh and contest results are still pending. Just got to hear from two of the judges and we can do the final tally! :)
