Onto the next cover from 'History Will Eat Itself' with the unveiling of my absolute beast of a guitar, the Chapman ML1 Baritone, I present to you Birth of a Wish! Also featuring my boi Charlie Pitcher playing some tenor and baritone saxophones!
No nonsense on this one, just a straight-forward metal cover here to accentuate the capabilities of the gorgeous baritone guitar I have in my possession. And the addition of the tones facilitated through The Nameless by NeuralDSP, I was able to get a filthy distorted sound suited best for this style of metal. To follow the drop A tuning of this arrangement, I borrowed my friend's 5-string Ibanez bass for corresponding low section. The solo on this was inspired by progressive rock instrumental band The Physics House Band with a mad amount of delay applied to a semi-atonal guitar solo. Not much to say about this one other than I wanted to keep it fairly simple and heavy! Had a ton of fun recording this one and unlocking the different sounds that can be found on this wonderful baritone by Chapman!
More Nier Automata coming!
Tune in every Wednesday!
