Though released as the soundtrack to the 1988 Motion Picture \"Hawks\", only four of the songs appeared in the film as they do on this album. Instrumental versions of \"Moonlight Madness\", \"Celebration De La Vie\" and \"Cover You\" were used in the film, and \"Where Tomorrow Is\", \"Not in Love at All\" and \"Letting Go\" were not included at all.
In fact, all of the songs (except for \"Childhood Days\", \"Celebration De La Vie\" and Diana Ross's \"Chain Reaction\") were already completed in 1986 for what was supposed to be Barry's follow-up album to the 1984 \"Now Voyager\", called \"Moonlight Madness\". This album was never released, however, and most of its songs were used for the \"Hawks\" soundtrack two years later.
