My first upload of 2019 takes us 40 years back in time. Disco Circus was a studio project by Claudja Barry's husband and producer Jรผrgen S. Korduletsch, assembling Munich's best studio musicians such as English drummer Keith Forsey, Swedish guitarist Mats Bjรถrklund, and Icelandic keyboard player Thor Baldursson, Hungarian piano player Sylvester Levay, and English bass players Dave King & Gary Unwin, all of whom were also playing on all Donna Summer, Amanda Lear, Boney M. and Silver Convention's records in those years. The sizzling single Over And Over (with lead vocals by Keith Forsey) became a big US club hit (I have included the 9-min. US mix here which is 3 minutes longer than the original European version). Also of interest is the disco version of Iron Butterfly's Gadda-Da-Vida which Frank Farian would also cover for Boney M. two years later.
The bonus track includes another studio project, Galaxy, with their one-off 1978 single Space Ranger which may be sliiightly reminiscent of Space's Magic Fly from the previous year. I've also included a dub version of Over And Over which was issued on Canadian label Rio Records in 1982.
