Melodic Instrumental Rock / Melodic Guitar Shred Album by Adrian Weiss largely inspired by Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Greg Howe, John Petrucci, Andy Timmons - That Was Then, This Is Now containing many (hopefully) beautiful guitar melodies, melodic guitar solos, melodic shredding and heavy guitar riffs. Quite a few songs are more relaxed, being of the melodic instrumental ballad or also rock fusion type. Techniques often used on this album are finger vibrato, wammy bar use, wah pedal use, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking and tapping.
