A locally popular 80's jazz-fusion band from the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

3PM was well known for their creative originals as well as skillful covers of Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra songs. The notably talented bassist Jerry Peek would eventually move on to play with Steve Morse and the equally talented guitarist John Wheliss has become a well known guitar instructor.



Roughly ten years after 3PM released their album, (ironically the amount of time it would have taken to circle the globe) a relatively unknown UK Hip Hop artist would use the exact same name and album name for his first single. What a coincidence!
