I've listened to THREAT SIGNAL for many years and have found their music very interesting. UNDER REPRISAL has many elements and every time I listen to this masterpiece of an album, I get chills of satisfaction and joy. First, the nature of the music itself is very \"heavy\" at times, with the lyrics discussing politics, war, and other situations humanity is dealing with today. To accompany this mood, the delivery of the lyrics, guitar riffage, and drumming is very intense. At times, it's as if you don't even know what will happen next. Yeah, it's that enthralling.
Secondly, despite this intense and aggressive nature, especially initially for most of the tracks, there is a unique balance between this and the \"lighter\" aspects of the album. Throughout UNDER REPRISAL, there are constantly unique melodies that are absolutely beautiful, and in tandem with the pro-level drumming, create a contrasting feeling during the tracks to deliver a fine track that is relatively balanced in nature. From my own research, it appears that THREAT SIGNAL has a lot to say and share through their music, and they certainly aren't afraid to do that, as UNDER REPRISAL reflects.
Overall, I've consistently enjoyed UNDER REPRISAL, especially tracks with the ending of \"Haunting\" and \"When All is Said and Done.\" If there's a heavy metal album you need to hear, this album would be a very strong candidate that you should most certainly consider!
