Valverde Brothers - After Midnight (Full Album, Expanded Version) [1978]
The Valverde Brothers were Gibraltar-born Hubert & Francis Valverde. They had one LP on Hansa International, arranged by Boney M.'s musical director Stefan Klinkhammer, and produced by Tony Hendrik & Karin van Hartman who would find bigger success with their later productions on A La Carte, Bad Boys Blue and Haddaway (Hendrik co-wrote his big hit What Is Love?). Valverde Brothers' 1978 LP was clearly inspired by Santa Esmeralda's formula of pairing rock material with disco and flamenco. The LP only included 5 tracks, but 3 of these - Layla, Living A Lie, and After Midnight - were released as singles. A non-album single, UK, was released mid-1979 but by then the brothers' recording career was over.
