EDWARD POWELL Mediocre Mann (1988 full album)

Playing Next: Chisato Moritaka (森高千里) - [1988] Mite (見て) Full Album (フルアルバム)

DISCLAIMER:

This album consists entirely of 1988 cassette pre-production

demos/writing sessions which were never intended for public

release, therefore the sound is NOT professional studio

quality. These demos were recorded in the months before

my first journey to India and therefore comprise the last

and final works of any rock music that I ever undertook

seriously. In 1988, I had given the one and only master

tape to my Father, then misplaced the masters... in 2016

among examining my Father's belongings after his passing,

I re-discovered this master tape and found the music very

refreshing, thought-provoking, and humorous. Well worth

releasing to the Public. Some of the singing sounds a lot

like Frank Zappa - this was totally unintentional... it somehow

just happened that way. I see it now as an unexpected

tribute to a great musician. Much of the guitar playing is

strongly reminiscent of my all-time guitar hero Robin Trower

- this was very much intentional.
