Among her best-remembered hits, “Mambo Italiano” turned out to be the final Clooney single ever to reach top-10 on the U.S. singles sales charts. It was riding high at the same time people were lining up at the movie houses to watch her perform with Bing and Danny Kaye in the film “White Christmas.” See also her 1954 hits “Hey There” “This Ole House” and “Sisters.”
