The Moscow Coup Attempt is the music and film project of Los Angeles artist and composer Derek Whitacre. \"Transmissions From the End of the World\" is the third TMCA album from 2009, completing the trilogy established by \"The Failure of Shortwave Radio\" (2005) and \"Insomnia\" (2006). This album delves deeper into the themes of isolation and the extinguishing of societal connections. It is also the only piece filmed entirely by TMCA, and created along with the music in unison.
