This Brunswick 3685 from October 18, 1927 has the added bonus of a Keller Sisters vocal! Jones would make only two more recordings besides these two before shutting down for the year 1928 to reorganizing and rebanding, whatever that means, before resuming his career in June, 1929. I have heard from some sources that he had a nervous breakdown in this period and was compelled to take time off for recuperation. He had been at it since 1920, one of Brunswick's most prolific artists, and practically lived at the studio--I understand they bought him a piano, so maybe it was time to take a breather!
