Alejo García Méndez - keyboards

Marianne Li - guitars

This album is about an amazing story related with music, the electro acoustical musical instruments and the possibility of use them to travel through the space and time by the Universe.

Once upon a time, Alejo García Méndez (harpsichord and electronic keyboards player) and Marianne Li (lute, viola da gamba and jazz guitar player) experienced the stunning fact of being able to travel back to the Past just by playing early music instruments, thanks to well kept secrets and information about early performance techniques and style founded in early manuscripts.

One day they decided to try electro acoustical instruments, attempting to beat the Early Music’s and Earth’s gravity, levitate, elevate, propel themselves and travel through outer space at sonic or even light speed, exploring new worlds, beyond the borders of the Supersonic Milky Way, the same way like did musicians as Brian Eno, John Scofield and so many other musical space voyagers that the History of musical explorations and discoveries gave.

So, Alejo and Marianne, in their native place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just provided of electronic keyboards and guitars, synthesizers, sequencers, samplers, multiple sound processors, computers and a four track analogic recorder (black box of the Deep Space sonic-plasma propelled spaceship they used for these trips), started to travel through the hyper space to beautiful and surprising unknown places in the Universe.

From the very first day they met in the Deep Space home studio spaceship, having turned off all the lights of the room, just illuminated by the soft lights of the dials, screens and LEDs of the electronic equipments and devices, they realized that the walls turned transparent, and they were able to see through them, but... the did not see the neighborhood as supposed... they saw amazing landscapes of unknown worlds... they realized that were traveling through the outer space and time... slowly perceived that they were in Ganymedes, the biggest moon of Jupiter, and was Dawn in Ganymedes... luckily they recorded in their binnacle, the four track analogic recorder of the Deep Space sonic-ship, the sound of this amazing landscape... here in the track # 2...

After this stunning discovery, they keep on meeting in their studio sonic-spacecraft every week through two long, unforgettable and creative years...having the opportunity of being dancing in Saturn’s Savoy Hotel, running the thrilling approaching to the comet Kohoutek... a really burning persecution... being in a sparkling crystal Martian cavern... meeting Nefertiti in Venus (somewhere goes the dead humans), great queen of the 18th dynasty of Egypt, main royal wife of Ajenaton, whose name is translated as “the beauty is arrived”... and guess what... she was in company of another music-star of the Past... Miles Davis... they were in love at last... he was playing on his trumpet a beautiful melody, recorded here in track # 6...

The power of music is unlimited, so... close your eyes, just relax and enjoy the journey... come with us to this Galactic Rally in the Deep Space...
