[Hip Hop/Funk/Soul/R&B/New Jack Swing] Here is RnB/Swing & Slowjam artist Lia with her self titled debut and only album titled: \"Lia\". There's not much data on her but her full name is Lia Grant. She came to the scene in 1988 with her song \"Tell Me It's Not Too Late\" (Track 5) which was produced by Foster & McElroy, it was a pretty huge dance funk track at the time, and it was also a precursor to En Vogue's hit a few years later titled: \"Hold On\", which was also produced by Foster & McElroy. The similar follow-up, \"True Obsession\" (Track 1), barely made it to the top 50 of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop singles, while the ballad \"Constantly\" (Track 7) also made the top 100 of that same chart (it was also later covered by Vanessa Williams, who pretty much made that track popular; me personally i like Lia's version of \"Constantly\" over Vanessa Williams version.) I think if she had Foster & McElroy produce the whole album, she may have reached En Vogue levels of fame. But they only produced three tracks, wonder where she is now? I heard from one source say that she has passed away but i can't confirm. This album was released under Virgin, Virgin Records America, Inc. '88
