One Woman Choir vocal cover of \"The Passing of the Elves\" by Howard Shore from the film The Lord of the Rings, performed by Psamathes. As a huge LOTR fan, you might have noticed influences from its music in some of my covers. So here's a LOTR cover, at long last! This is one of those covers where I freely recorded the lead vocal without any reference or tempo mapping, and then built the rest of the arrangement around it. The main structure is fairly close to the original, but I used my upper range to fill in some of the pauses and develop the ethereal atmosphere even more. I also used my lower notes instead of an instrument to fill in the low end of the choir, as it was done (as far as I've read) in the original track. Now that I got the DVD from my collection to rewatch the scene from the thumbnail, all that's left to do is a good ol' LOTR marathon :)
Special thanks to my amazing Patrons Allen Brasch, Anna Masoni, Janet Wilson, Mind Waker, Mockingjay N7, Mr. Feral, Paper Coelacanth, Piano Game Knight, Ro Panuganti, Sauraen, Sebastian Wolff, and Yoshiaki Miyasaka for their support!
