Best Of... Volume II is the first official release by the band Throbbing Gristle, and is the first item to be released by their label Industrial Records having the catalogue number of IRC 1. It was initially hand-distributed in very limited numbers in 1976. There have been a number of cassette reissues of dubious authority, but it has never been remastered or issued on cd. Like their formal lp debut 'The Second Annual Report of Throbbing Gristle' from the following year, it is a mix of raw studio tracks and live selections.



The source for these mp3s is likely the V.A.T. reissue from the early nineties. (Note that while the V.A.T. cassette 'Best Of... Volume I' is retroactively given the catalogue number of IRC 000 it was not originally issued by Industrial Records during their initial run and should be considered an bootleg.)
