Billy In The Lowground, performed by Wayne Henderson, Martha Spencer, and Jackson Cunningham (www.waynehenderson.org; www.whitetopmountaineers.com). In concert at the Institute of Musical Traditions(www.imtfolk.org) Monday Night Concert, Rockville, MD, USA on May 10th, 2010.

Wayne Henderson's top-notch finger-picking is a source of great pleasure and pride to his friends, family, and neighbors in Grayson County, Virginia; his guitar playing has also been enjoyed at Carnegie Hall, in three national tours of \"Masters of the Steel-String Guitar,\" and in seven nations in Asia. In addition to his reputation as a guitarist, Henderson is a luthier of great renown. He is a recipient of a 1995 National Heritage Award presented by the National Endowment for the Arts. He produces about 20 instruments a year, mostly guitars, but he is almost as well-known for the mandolins he has made.

Martha Spencer, from the famous Spencer family band, and Jackson Cunningham, multi-instrumentalist virtuoso, play old-time country tunes on guitar and mandolin here, and many other instruments on their CDs and concerts.

As always, we gratefully thank the Maryland State Arts Council (www.msac.org), the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Council (www.creativemoco.com), and all our other donors, supporters, and volunteers.
