Hey guys! Time to remake one of my favorite arrangements that I've ever done!
I usually don't go too crazy with remaking old arrangements because there is still soooo much I want to cover and I'd always prefer to be looking ahead rather than in the past.
HOWEVER, this arrangement from 2013 really sticks out for me as one of my most proud things. And I get comments pretty frequently suggesting that I bring this arrangement into 2018 with all that I've learned about production and my playing since then!
It's such a special and wild experience when I remake something that's near and dear to me. While recording and mixing, I'm in a crazy state of paranoia where I'm terrified of making it worse; or that maybe I somehow got less good at guitar over the years. But the sense of relief and excitement when you greatly prefer the new version to the old feels so good. I understand there might be some of you guys who will prefer the old and that's totally fine!! I just love to challenge myself to see where I've traveled in music since then.
I was determined to play it tighter, meaner, and make it sound waay huger. All of the guitars are freshly re-recorded and I did a lot of work on the drums and orchestrations. Like basically blowing dust off of some old antiques of mine haha.
I hope you guys enjoy!!
