Cher U.K. - Texas Vacation (1997 self-released) third full-length from Kansas City, MO punk group Cher U.K. (originally Cher, had to change it) the group was a revolving door for Kansas City and Austin, TX musicians (Andrew Turner, Bernie Dugan, Billy Belzer, Christian McMahon, Ed Przychodzki, Heather Grehan, Jeff Nichols, Lisa McKenzie, Mark Reynolds, Mike Stover, Robbie Araiza and Tom Livesay) with Mike McCoy as the only constant member. According to discogs Mike McCoy is now active in Austin, TX and I suspect this album was the turning point in his decision on wether to live in KC or Austin. Again the band and it's members were from KC, this album is called \"Texas Vacation\" and appears to be their only material recorded in Austin (up to that point I think). A good silly punk album, always sort of reminded me of Kansas City's own F.Y.P. Also very curious if I know any of these folks \"7 degrees of separation\" style (I used to play in a band where every member went to high school with James Dewees and the guys from Coalesce)
